Importance of This Convention
As one of the largest counties in the District, Black Hawk County plays a significant role in shaping the direction of our party. With multiple candidates currently seeking the Republican nomination for Governor, it is widely anticipated that no single candidate may secure a decisive outcome in the Primary election.
Should the Primary result in a contested nomination process, delegates selected through county conventions will have an important responsibility in helping determine the party’s path forward. Your participation in this Convention therefore carries meaningful influence in representing our county and helping shape the future leadership of Iowa.
Your participation is important to the success of the Convention and to ensuring strong grassroots representation in the decisions that shape our county organization and platform. We encourage all delegates and interested participants to arrive on time and prepared to engage in the Convention proceedings.
If you have questions prior to the Convention, please reply to this email for assistance.
We look forward to your participation.
Respectfully,
April Melton
Chairwoman,
Black Hawk County GOP Central Committee
